Nice solid gland, clean threads and looks better than grey plastic versions. Two inserts provided. I didn’t use it for meter tails, but to take arctic flex into an enclosure. Took two 4mm2 and a 1.5mm2 snugly.
Perfect for the job and inexpensive. Comes with rubber inserts for both 16mm and 25mm2 tails.
This gland is the absolute bomb!!
It comes with a pair of rubber inserts for either 25mm tails with a 16mm earth or 16mm tails with a 10mm earth. The real cool thing is that each rubber insert comes with a blanking plug for the earth so say your earth enters through the back of your consumer unit you can blank off the rubber insert earth hole
Nice gland at a reasonable price for brass
Ideal gland for 25mm and 16mm tails for consumer unit. Fantastic price compared to other wholesalers.
Good quality, used these a few times now
Top quality cable gland for 16.0 & 25.0mm meter tails! Comes complete with two rubber inserts for the two different sizes of double-insulated singles cables. Also included is a small blanking plug if the main earthing conductor entry hole is not required.
Mounting thread is 32mm and has a body and nut AF measurement of 40mm, so you will need a very wide-jawed spanner such as Toolstation Item No. 71469!
Easy to assemble with a positive registration of the gripping fingers sleeve in the gland body that prevents any tendency for rotation of the conductors whilst tightening the back-nut.
Buy with confidence!
Neat and robust entry for consumer unit
Excellent piece of kit being about that the size of some others on the market. Well made and easy to fit at a fair price.
Better than most tails glands as they are shorter. Price is decent as well
For compliance with 18th edition when a metal box is used, thes are exclelent. The inserts fit the cable and compress properly when the fitting is tightened.
Good for meter tails, keeps the tails nice and secure
Purchased this for my contractor and i was impressed with the item. it looks great
Ok this isn't a cheap product - £10 for a Gland ! However it is top quality and contains two stuffing rubbers (one for 16 mm tails and one for 25mm tails. Also two blank off's are supplied for the earthing cable hole in case you don't need to use it.
Its nice two have a gland that you can do up nice and tight without fear of stripping the threads and know the cables are held firmly in place. I personally don't mind paying for quality in this case it saves a lot of time compared to using the usual tat.
Bought this for fitting tails to a metal consumer unit. Good and sturdy much better than the plastic alternatives. As an electrician will recommend to others.
