Generally get a very good crimp connection with this product, and we use these all the time. be aware that sometimes there is a small amount of plastic obstructing the inside of the connector where the metal tube has been inserted into the yellow insulation during manufacture. This can easily be removed with a small screwdriver or similar
Accidentally cut through battery pack lead for hedge trimmer. Searched locally for these crimps and Toolstation were the only seller who had some in stock. Fixed cables easily and then covered crimp in heat shrink and then a larger piece of heat shrink over the whole group of cables. Works well .....again.
