Well made loppers, which work exceptionally well. Making light work of cutting through thick branches. Well worth the money.

i have had a bulldog spade for over 20 years, never let me down. These loppers appear to be of the same quality.
Bought these to replace another pair of different make, from a major retailer, which had broken. As these came with free delivery they worked out a little cheaper though the others had lasted years and I probably over stressed them. These are much more robust and the extension locks on the handles are much more positive. They also give a longer reach. I have used them in conjunction with a chain saw to hack back some very over grown bushes and they did a good job and some of the branches were quite thick if not up to the 50mm limit advertised - I was being cautious with the chain saw on hand. I would say the ratchet worked very well as these can sometimes be temperamental.
These are very powerful loppers. The leverage is just right for thick branches. The ratchet mechanism works reliably.

This are excellent ratchet loppers and very much value for money. I have good expectations of servicable use for years to come. I'm now wondering about Bulldog ratchet secateurs to replace my current poorly performing pair. Toolstation price and service as good as always.
Sturdy, well made. Much better than anticipated. Requires much less force to operate on thicker branches than non rachet options. Extending handles very handy.
