an increasing number of outdoor Christmas lights have oversize plugs or adaptors with the low voltage cable rising from the top. this socket was perfect for just such a Christmas light plug. well made and seals well too
Much bigger and better exterior socket than anything else I could find from major providers or online. The internal setup also allows you to adjust the position of the socket higher or lower within the closure to ensure fitment with your plug type which is extremely useful. I bought 2 and they were exactly what was needed, easy to setup and working without fault.
Unfortunately after colecting I phoned the manufacturer who's number was on the box and they informed me the product was not suitable for EV charging. EV charging sockets must have the later BS number and EV stamped on the back.
Good product but cover screws missing. More hassle to return so sourced own screws

Really useful product and was exactly what I needed however the body and back box are not a perfect fit together
Large enclosure and no switch ensures that extension lead exits the socket centrally - the cable is not pulled to one side. Stops the plug being pulled to one side resulting in poor contact, overheating and eventual burn-out. Used for long duration EV charging. Previous switched socket burnt out after only a few uses in spite of current draw being well below rated maximum

Needed two for some exterior CCTV cameras. Very flexible design, plenty of room for the transformer and the wire that came with it, all tucked away neatly inside it. Very easy to set up. Seems good quality kit.
A useful idea, just rather costly in comparison to the basic sockets, however much cheaper than the "other" make. The up and down positioning of the scoket is useful.

Great kit for transformers, had some 24v lights whose transformer has no chance of fitting in standard BG double due to orientation of plug.
Well made. Good design eg captive screws. Enough room to get plug in transformer that would not fit standard plug. The option to change the position of the socket is useful
The item seemed very well made but unfortunately the enclosure wasn’t large enough to accommodate the transformer/plug that I wanted to plug in. I returned the item with not a problem at all.
