The RCD is fitted,tested, and working fine. The service at the store in Shipley was as always helpful and efficient.
This was to replace an old one that had decided to fail. On testing the 30ma trip capacity it was tripping at 17ma so really not suitable.
Unfortunately didn’t check the box when collected.
When about to fit it, I found the box had been already opened. On installing the new RCD, I found that it tripped out constantly, worse than the one I was replacing. I suspect that it had be used before or returned faulty. Not very impressed.
Just what I was looking for at a competitive price.
Straightforward purchase, no fuss. I collected my item following a message to say it was ready and it was as easy as that. Perfect! The staff were spot on as usual, efficient and curteous

Does what if should do and reasonably priced as well
unfortunately the unit was found to be faulty. fortunately I was still in the shop so rejected the item. They re-ordered a replacement for pick up at my local branch. I only visited this branch because it was the only one that had the item in stock and I needed it that day. Now have to wait 4 days for the replacement due to the bank holiday weekend.

Bought to replace a faulty one from a previous board. Needed it in a pinch and the store had the exact one I needed, ideal! Does exactly what you need it to!
British General RCD- good value and does what it should giving protection against electrocution.
Like all RCD protective devices it’s worth pressing the test button every 3 months to prove its working correctly, this was bought to replace one which would not trip when tested.
Type A so fully compliant with the latest electrical regulations and compatible with EV chargers.
It is what it is what more can one say? An RCD main swithch.
The price is excellent compared to similar makes that are technically rated the same.
Easy but secure connection’s for a problem free installation. Definitely buy this make again 👍🏻
Perfect RCD for home / Office use. It’s a type A so perfect for protecting your home when used in a fuse board feeding an EV charger.
