Good bit of kit that was perfect for the job I wanted to do. It certainly managed soft mortar very well but I did not try it on anything more challenging.
Used to rake out large area of brickworkprior to repointing. Very fast, effective and much easier than doing manually with a hammer and chisel or drill. Recommended
Doesn't wear very well on harder cement mortars, although probably as good as any other rake of this type. In my experience it's worth getting as much mortar out with a diamond blade in an angle grinder and/or using a masonary bit in an SDS drill first and only use this on difficult bits nothing else will reach or for finishing off/tidying up.
Does what it needs to. Seems sturdy. Ripped old mortar well.
Did a good job because the mortar was quite soft don’t know how it would work on anything harder

I am not sure how this can be given anything other than 5 star. It removes mortar incredibly quickly and easily. I did 3m2 in about an hour with it. Made the job much easier than I anticipated.

Not very hard wearing. Had too buy 3 in the end and job still not fully complete. Used in a new grinder.
Used this to rake out the joints in a brick wall and the joints of an Indian stone patio. It did the job easily with little dust being kicked up. It’s good value and a quality tool

Quality little tool for removing patio mortar. Not as quick ad a disc cutter but far less mess
