Having a small amount of room to fit a more standard lock, I opted for this as a solution. It is very solid, copes if you are short of frame space and is flexible in terms of positioning.

Perfect for the job. I needed a long hook to secure my kitchen door and stop it hitting the frame of my awning. Toolstation were miles better value for this type of hook and I was very happy with the excellent quality.

The hook is of reasonable quality and easy to install. It comes with screws, although you may need longer ones if you're attaching it to a wall. It would be nice if it were available in other finishes, such as matte chrome. The hook and fittings are packaged together in a single bag. I’ve used it outdoors to hold open a uPVC door, and it works well for that purpose.
Just the job, good quality and replaced a shorter version without having to re drill the brick work.
Service from Toolstation was OK. BUT the "hook" part of the purchase is missing from the sealed package which will necessitate a visit to your store.
