Very good drill bit, made fairly quick work of 5mm mild steel shelving, true after about 60 holes it had gone too blunt. But for the steel thickness, & the price of the bit, it performed superbly.
Decide to pay a little bit more as i needed to drill through a decent piece of steel but sorry the usual rubbish quality of todays drills drill was blunt after 2 holes don't bother

Bought this to drill few holes in the chassis. The first three holes were drilled in no time, the forth one was taking much longer, which then I noticed that the drill bit was chipped. It was still eating into steel, but not as efficiently. I forgot my cutting fluid (spray that you use to cool down the drill and ease the cutting), and the steel was very thick almost 20mm together, so the performance was reduced by that. It unfortunately snapped on the forth hole, which I was a little surprised given that I was doing it on a slow setting (does not make drill bit hot too quickly), but because `I was drilling above my head in an awkward position, I might've put too much pressure on. Overall I would say it's worth the money, and I will be buying it again, and if the parameters don't change in a perfect condition I will let you all know.

I use these mainly to drill holes in wood and metal, and after many years of trying different bits these were by far the easiest choice to come back to. They offer longevity and are very fairly priced. If you drill in metal I found that if you want them to las, use it on a low setting instead of as the title suggest HSS (High speed steel), and if you add some cutting fluid or WD40 whilst you do it (drilling in metal only) it makes it very easy to drill any hole. Sometimes if you use too much force or tilt the drill too much they do snap, but it's rare and I usually know when I was the reason behind it.
Hi, I ordered this drill bit Friday 9th of May, I needed the reduced shank type to use in my battery drill, this item was quoted as available in store 'next day'. However having read the T&C's noticed that this referred to next working day, unfortunately I didn't realise this when ordering, and the item wasn't available until the following Monday 12th May.

Purchased to drill into a number of mild steel metal fence posts. I expected to have to buy a few more for the job, but when used with cutting oil the bit performed the task well with no perceived drop off in performance by the end of the drilling.

So I thought I was getting two but never mind. Going through a garage door, wood and metal, this bit drove itself through the lot like butter, great as the day was freezing in an east wind and I didnt want to be there any longer as my brass monkeys were complaining.
