Bosch CYL-9 Ceramic Tile Drill Bit 6 x 80mm

Lasted 5 holes, I have used many cheap ones in the past, I thought I would buy a Bosch one thinking it might last a little longer … nope buy the cheap ones 🤷‍♂️

Poor product. Very surprised as Bosch drill bits are usually very good.

Cut through a ceramic tile easily. Bit didn’t wander.

Seemed to work fine. Difficult to get it started in the exact spot required though.

Second one I’ve bought, first one did a lot of work before it was time to replace. Feel very confident it won’t wander or crack the tile if used correctly. Highly recommended

Very good tile drill which effortlessly cuts through tiles
, just take care and do not rush and you will find it does an excellent job

Easy to use, ideal when installing items on tiles.

Awful bit struggled to drill through a basic ceramic tile

Went blunt after drilling two holes in shower tiles

Used this on some limestone pillar cappings and it worked really well.It also seems to have kept its edge.

So i usually buy the cheap ones but I must admit these ones were so much better when drilling into tiles. So much easier definitely recommend if you doing this type of work regularly.

Use masking tape to prevent slip, use water spray in off hand to lubricate.

I am just a DIYer and needed to drill some bathroom wall tiles. This drill bit cuts through ceramic tiles with ease and I found it much better than the cheaper products I have used in the past. I would recommend this product.
I bought this from the Honiton Toolstation store and so this is also a 'shout out' to the staff there who are really helpful and friendly.

These are amazing drill bits, will go through most materials like butter, even used them on concrete with no issues!

I needn't have worried about drilling my bathroom wall tiles as this drill bit drilled the four holes i needed without any fuss. Excellent..

Used to make holes in glazed bathroom tiles to fit Croydex grab rails. Followed up with masonary bit.
Made nice neat circular holes with no chipping. The tiles beneath the glaze are probably quite soft. Tool did job required on 12 holes so far.

Game changer. Used on soft tiles. Don't come here and say its crap when drilling into porcelain you prolly don't know what yer tiles are made of.. just saying.
