Black n decker used to be well made ,now rubbish . I bought a Strimmer and after using it a half a dozen times it went faulty. I returned it to be told that they would send away for repair. So without a Strimmer for several weeks . Eventually got it back fixed. Not my fault it was. Poor quality , and left without the height of summer. B&D used to outlast everything, not anymore.
Bought for my allotment association as a tool to be used by all. Lightweight and easy to use. The self feed system for the cord means you don't have to do anything to lengthen it, unlike other strimmers which require something to be done when the cord wears short.
It comes with a charger and a 2Ah battery. I'd recommend getting a spare 4Ah battery so you can replace the one in use if it runs out of power half way through a session.
ive used it three times now and its fully charged on every use the battery doesn't last past 20 minutes
very good light and easy to use, cut front and back four times before recharging
Works well & it light weight, battery life is limited as it’s only a 2A device
Delivered next day free of charge. Relatively lightweight and easy to use. Recommended.
As good as the old one so I hope it lasts another 14 years yes
Does what it says it will! Strums and edges with ease
Excellent piece of kit, lightweight, 2 speeds and the battery lasts for longer than I expected, 30 minutes. Edges of lawns are easy too.
Works as expected for strimming thick overgrown grass in an allotment. Battery worked for about 30mins which is good enough for this price i suppose.
A bit under powered, go for the 36v option for a bit more umph!
Does what it says on the tin. Great piece of kit to use.
Handy adjustable strimmer and edger. Easy to assemble and use. Long charge times and less than 20 minutes battery life. For small garden's ok but for anything medium or large a second battery will be needed.
My first strimmer.
Used it to do a bit of light grass cutting but was too weak to do much more.
It only have one line at the end and very low strength.
Would be good for a small garden but definitely nothing big.
Good for light work but needs to be run at high speed for some jobs so the battery runs down v quickly. I use it to keep borders and beds clear at the allotment where there's no power supply. It can handle light grass/weeds but struggled with thicker perennial weeds.
Brilliant product from a brilliant supplier.
But that’s why we all use Tool Station, in a word DEPENDABILTY!
easy and light to use plus extra battery and good price
Handy strimmer . Easy to assemble and use . No problems so far
Easy, comfortable and relatively quiet to use. With a fully charged battery, on setting 1 it struggled with larger weeds and grass but on setting 2 it can cope reasonably well with thicker vegitation. The battery lasted around 15mins at full tilt, which was long enough to get bored with the job and have a cup of tea.
Great little strimmer, easy to assemble and is lightweight and cuts well, possibly could have a bigger battery
