Really good value for money, light weight but extremely durable and perfect for my hedges.
My neighbour is going to put hade one so impressed he was with mine.
Very pleased with this hedge trimmer. It has excellent capacity to cut thick stems easily and the saw works reasonably well it at least as well as I had hoped it would. It feels well made and is light weight enough to use for long periods if time.
Bought this to replace a very old metal version!. Good safety features, you have to use both hands, light and well balanced. It has a handy cutter on the end for thicker pieces but I found this sometimes got in the way of cutting the hedge, it has a generous cable length and a blade cover which is a bit flimsy. I only have a small hedge and won't be using it that much.
Well priced, quick and efficient service. This replaces an old Black & Decker hedge trimmer that had dine 20+ years service. It is light, powerful enough for garden hedges and works out of the box. Very happy
Just used the tool for the first time and found the the saw part of the blade acts a a hook and doesn’t allow the cutting blades to pass the the hedge. It’s ok the other side as no saw blade. I thought it was a good idea at the time of purchase but in practice very disappointed. Another product that will be sat stored in my shed I think.
Does what you expect it to do, the saw bit on the end is useful for slightly larger branches.
Good for the price but saw blade is disappointing.
Ezcellent trimmer ,light well balanced and cuts through small branches no problem. Not sure what use the saw attachment is or the blade cover, as once you have taken it off it is very difficult to get back on
This does have a lot to live up to as its predecessor, another B&D hedge trimmer, lasted 25 years of fairly solid service, but so far so good.
The notable improvements are the wider slots to the cutter blade and the uprated motor, one may cancel out the other if I hit something solid but I'm happy being careful.
On the downside, I couldn't find one with the 65cm blade of its predecessor so I'll have to lean a bit more or reduce the higher hedges - and I'm 25 years older now. The cover is flimsy - no scabbard to protect it and hang it up as before - this false economy loses it the last star.
In use, cutting is clean and easy with a particular improvement with a laurel hedge as the bigger leaves enter the blade more easily. It's not too heavy nor too loud but do wear gloves and ear defenders.
The little saw blade at the end... Hmm, haven't tried it yet but it is sharp so could be useful to nip back the larger branches in the laurel.
These hedge trimmers are really good, they cut though much thicker sections of hedge than the trimmers I replaced. They are a bit heavier but the length of the blade means you are using them for less time.
It's certainly a powerful motor and it cuts the hedge very effectively, however I'm not so sure how useful the little saw at the end will be; it also reduces the hedge cutting operational length by about 10cm. I am not impressed with the storage safety sleeve which is very flimsy and I doubt will last the season
So far so good. Have only used it once, but was impressed.
Great product although I have only used it once. Apparently reviews should be at least 2 to 3 sentences long however I always think that’s stupid especially if you believe that you have summed it up in a few words.
Really good product and delivered very quickly. The little saw at the end isn’t great. Probably better off using a normal hand saw gif possible. The main cutter is great though. It can really get through the hedges. Very light weight and easy to handle.
Great! Cuts so much better (thicker stems) and faster than my cordless, it’s worth having the cord. Blade is quite long enough. Nice and light.
Doesn’t cut so well on the saw side, as the saw stops you sweeping through the hedge stems
Works well although only used itvonce
