Excellent tool - bought this to replace one I have had for years. The first time you use it you will wonder how you ever managed without one!
The finger file/sander is a useful tool. Variable speed helps with more delicate work. Useful for sanding spot welds etc. Much better than my air sander. Very pleased with product.
When making a lantern lamp it finished the mortise cut smoothly. One belt did snap but easy to replace.
Superb tool, been buying this brand for many years. Long lasting, very robust. Highly recommended.
My purchase of the Black & Decker Power File has proved to be a real winner. Not only did Tool Station have it at the best price, but the Power File itself exceeded my expectations in terms of performance.
Easy to use, but where can I buy replacement belts?
fast & powerful enough to dress welds, small, light & with variable speed to be used with some precision. Belt runs straight & true. Loud, and the supplied belts are a bit mediocre but I'm already considering buying a second to permanently equip with a spare (not supplied) 6mm arm
Much more powerfull and robust than cheaper ones that i have used, worth spending that little bit extra.
Powerfile, finger sander for refurbishing garden furniture.
So far so good. I’ve mainly used this for smoothing off plug welds when doing car repairs. I don’t know how I managed before.
This is great for for those jobs that you would have to do by hand and it does it in double quick time.
Front wheel rubber tyre fell apart. The pin slid out total fail. Lasted 30mins. Very poor design. Returned
Perfect, just what I needed to get in those awkward places.
Over the moon with my purchase, easy to use and does what I want it to,
Very good tool don't know how i managed without one
Very useful tool, this is my third one in about 15 years.
Very useful tool and excellent value works very well and collects a lot of the dust
This sander isa versatile tool for fine detailing, I used it for fine work tidying up bandsaw marks and odd lumps on a guitar IAM building. It is great for smoothing quickly without being too aggressive. There are a lot of compound curves which it handled very well and isn't overly noisy and is very easy to control. I plugged it into the vacuum to keep dust down. Controls are simple and it is robust but not too heavy , so not clumsy to use.
I needed to remove rust scale from an awkward spot and decided that a powerfile might be the best tool. I was dubious that a sandpaper belt would (a) last long or (b) have much effect but I was surprised on both counts. It really does ground metal and the belt didn't snap or spin off. My only criticism is that the arm should have a slipper pad top and bottom as I needed to use it upside down at times to get into tight positions but overall I'm pleased with the purchase especially at the discount price! Also check the model as the instructions cover two additional arms which my model didn't have but at present I can't see why I would need them.
Good tool, best price I could find, free delivery, always check Toolstation prices.
