Budget heat gun but works well. Compact and lightweight to use with ample heat for most jobs.
80 Years of paint and varnish to shift on the Hallway stair banister rail, newel posts and baluster to tackle the gun is a good size and not heavy to hold for a 60 minute session. Ploughed through paint and varnish with a very tightly focused heat stream. Hopefully it stay the course as it’s going to take a full week to get into all the nooks and grannies.
Really like this product. Seems just as effective as 2kw types. It’s quite stable inverted on its base (with the hanging bracket ‘clicked’ into position) for when you want to manouvre the workpiece over the nozzle.
This heat gun is very simple to use. Gets old gloss paint off bannisters with ease.
used to shrink tubes on wires ,remove paint etc. two settings very usefull

Im upcycling a chest of drawers with several layers of paint that needs to be removed. The paint comes off with use of this heat gun. It has saved time and effort from sanding. Great addition to my tools

Having had one of these in the past I thought I would try it again. Used it for stripping multiple layers of paint off an old door, and it did a fantastic job. Ten out of ten for black and decker a not so popular make these days. I would definitely recommend this product.

Perfect bit if kit for the DIY'er. I previously owned a Black & Decker heat gun which I purchased in 1984. It died on 16 August 2025 (could I get warranty?). Works brilliantly and good value. Very pleased and highly recommended.
