Type 2 single phase SPD (Surge Protection Device) is recommended for all low voltage electrical installations. Installed in each electrical switchboard, it prevents the spread of over voltage’s in the electrical installations and protects the loads. Type 2 SPD is characterised by an 8/20 μs current
wave.

SPD have now been introduced as a mandatory requirement into the 18th edition wiring regulations for domestic installations. This stand alone enclosure to be fitted to existing consumer unit/enclosures, to provide surge protection, supplied with 100A main switch, 32A MCB and SPD device. Enclosure is IP65.

Fully compliant to BSEN61643-11 , BSEN62305 & BS7671 suitable for domestic installations, space saving 1 module design can be fitted on DIN rail directly into the consumer unit, grey colour to match existing circuit protection devices.
