It's more and more important that you have one of these Surge Protection Devices fitted to your consumer unit ensuring any electrical spikes get handled properly and safely. I was advised to fit one as the number of solar farms are increasing in my area meaning if one goes down the spike could reach my home easily.

I wanted a decent strip of 10 individual switchable sockets for my TV, so used this combined with proper wall sockets. It is one of those things that I'll never know if it's done anything but it does have an indicator to say if it has failed. And good that it can be replaced individually rather than sending an entire socket strip to landfill.
Well constructed product, good price and very convenient that it is a single module device. Would recommend. Hopefully we won't every have to find out if it works!
