Straightforward replacement of an existing unit that “failed” prematurely with poor connection. Looks & feels like a quality unit at an acceptable price.
However carefully you assemble this, the plastic panel will always be just behind the metal front cover. It's either designed that way or there's a tolerance problem, possibly with the earthing nibs on the back of the cover which keep it from being totally flush. All that's needed is 1mm more plastic depth on the front panel - job done. It could be just proud and would look the part. As it is, it invites you to pick at the obvious gap - such an unnecessary.own goal
Fantastic looking replacement for an old fashioned bland white charger
Good price, easy to install, no problems with noise as the old one made quite a loud humming noise when in use.
It looks great, and is easy to fit (albeit into an existing wall box). The smooth faceplate is so much better than having visible screws.

This is the second time that I’ve bought one of these shaver sockets and once installed, they look great with their polished chrome faceplate which conceals the fixing screws. However, I have only given a rating of four stars because of the screws which are too short when mounting on a tiled wall. Easy enough to swap for longer screws but those replacements MUST have flat heads otherwise the plate won’t fit over the top. The socket needs a 47mm deep back box anyway so if the manufacturer supplied longer screws, it wouldn’t be a problem and the socket would be a five star item.

Excellent quality and easy to fit chrome plate finished the product
Fits a standard 47mm backbox unlike others available. Switches mains off when no plug inserted so helpful in these times of energy prices. Some other units are on 24 hrs. Clip on front is easy to operate. This replaced an identical one after many years when connections became intermittent between plug and unit.
Seems to be a good quality item with a decent weight to it, fitted well and helps to finish the bathroom well.
