I use this oil based wood preserver all the time, it soaks into the timber well. I would recommend this product.
It’s easy to put on especially with the Tool-station 4 inch brush for £3. It says it protects fences for many years- let’s see how effective it is.
I bought this when setting up a new shed with base runners. The product was very good waterproofing the base runners very effectively. I have not done tge shed yet but it will be fine. However I bought a 5 litre tin which has a plastic insert you have to remove and you hsve to shake the fluid before using it . That is impossible once opened as it spills everywhere!! Ery poor design!
It's easy to apply and dries quickly but I'd say it's best for sawn timber with more open texture. It works ok on planed timber not exposed to the worst of the weather but where planed timber is very exposed it doesn't weather very well at all. In all circumstances I think retreatment every year is necessary but it's easy to do and quick with minimal preparation.

The product is thin nothing like a paint and soaked in quickly when applied. This gave me some reassurance of longevity. It has quite low odour, probably helps being outside.
It did restore the natural wood colours when applied so all good.
If it does what it says on the tin I will be well happy. Can't give it 5 stars until next year.

Wood protector…not a painter myself so a little daunting for me to attempt to cover my new shed with this product but I managed ok…3 times..it was good stuff !

Difficult to tell how well it's going to do the job - protecting wood. No issues so far. Easy to apply and soaks in to the wood.
