Not a bad product. Does remove paint but takes several applications. Not as good as the original Nitromors.
Good product, leave for 15mins to soak into paint scrape off, apply again if stubborn paint.
I've been using this for years now, and it's a really good product, competitively priced. Always get the 2.5 litre as it stays fresh for ages in the tin. Ideal when you're stripping paint off other peoples mistakes during a renovation...
Pink panther is quite good considering most of these products are no where near as good as they used to be because of the environmental impact that the government want to enforce now. Years ago you would need to use gloves as it would burn your skin but now you could dip your hand in it. You need to reapply a few times because of this so most of them are the same
Was taking the paint off a garage door which turned out to be a harder job than first thought. Having scored the surface and then applied the paste after about 30 minutes then layers started to blister and became easy to scrape away. Sometimes on what appeared to be a thicker paint layer the paste was applied a second or third time eventually removing the paint.
Worked well on old gloss, didn’t need to leave for more than a few minutes before it was visibly peeling.
Varnish was a different story, it became a horrible gloopy mess that stuck to everything when scraping off. Took a few repeats to get a meaningful amount off to be able to sand the remainder.
Gel consistency sticks well even upside down so that was helpful when doing the bannisters.
Given the reviews for a lot of paint strippers theses days I expected it to be poor at best but it did a decent job overall, just took a bit longer than anticipated.
Easy to use, does what it says. Took a couple of god
Took 2 coats to strip the paint off a vice for refurb.. takes some effort to get out the tin but works great.. try it on the guttering next
Did fantastic work of stripping varnish off of the door we were renovating
product defies its purpose due to its eco-friendly formula. I only gave the three star review instead of one star because it was very helpful to unblock my toilet and it saved me on calling out a plumber...
Brush on and leave for a while then scrape off.Really easy to use.
I tried 3/4 different things to get rid of a paint on front window which has been there for more than 20 years and nothing worked, when i tried Paint Panther it worked like a magic i couldn’t believe it,whenever someone using don’t do so much space it’s better to do it in small patches that way you don’t spend too much and you can manage it better
Surprisingly easy to apply, and does what it says on the tin. Can be a bit messy cleaning up, but that's to be expected. Tip: spend time prepping the area around, to make sure none falls where it can cause damage (use newspapers, good for absorption).
Toolstation staff and shop are excellent too. Easy to order, park outside, minutes to collect, and out the door again. And staff are knowledgeable about the products too.
Thick paint stripper that is much better than the average.
Satisfied and happy with this varnish remover. It's fast and affective.
Used this product to strip masonry paint from an external wall , worked well indeed . Very pleased
Great product for stripping. I used it on worktops that had a hard oil shell and it did a great job. I did a second coat and the surfaces were fully stripped clean. Just watch out for the fumes - plenty fresh air required.
Was quoted £1100 to sandblast my window ledges so balked at the cost. Ledges have several coats in different colours and finished, yellow, white, near black so thought I’d give the other famous one a go but Paint Panther came up on the search engine and as Toolstation is ten minutes from home chose this. It works really well although several applications are needed. I find that when the sun is shining on the window ledge it works faster as opposed to when it’s in the shade. Including the new scrapers it will have cost about £150 all in so I’m very happy. Wish Toolstation did the 4 litre though as I’ve had to order that online.
Used to remove paint from brickwork around window. Applied with paint brush. Leave for 30 mins, use small wire brush to remove paint, then use spray bottle with clean water and bristle brush to remove excess paint and the stripper solution. Worked a treat. Now when the new upvc windows are fitted I don’t have an old paint line remaining.
Best paint remover you can buy these days. Tried the new Nitromows and it did not touch it. This stuff worked a treat. I would, however, leave the treatment on the blistering surface for at least an hour.
