Bahco Barracuda Handsaw 550mm (22")

Superb saw. Tears through any job.. don't bother with cheaper ones.

One of the better hand saws for wood at this price range. Nice thick steel which is less prone to bending. It's easier to get a straight cut with this than other saws I've tried. It's also less prone to jamming. The only downside is that there are other saws that cut faster, but it’s not a big difference. I haven't had it long enough to properly test durability, but it seems fine so far. Yes I would buy this again.

A solid saw for the more course timber, cuts precisely and with ease

Best saw I've used. Can't recommend enough - v sharp providing a clean, smooth cut. Used to make 24 cuts on eight 6 'x 6' posts at a 15 degree angle by hand and all cuts were perfect and the saw is still sharp.

The Bahco hardpoint handsaws are good quality resonably priced tools. The Barracuda is the same as the 244 but with a more comfortable handle.

I needed to make some raised beds from reclaimed tropical hardwood railway sleepers. I half expected to have to hire a chain saw but decided to try a hand saw first. Accordingly I bought two of these expecting them to wear out really fast. Wow - I only used one and it remains sharp enough to work on more ‘normal’ softer timber. These saws are the bees knees and at this price I have no hesitation to strongly recommend.

Quality saw, rips through 4" fence posts and lasts for a while.

This helped me cut down a HUGE old apple tree. I have a smaller bush cutting saw that was doing well on smaller branches, but was getting hard work on bigger ones. This made it much easier, which, as a Not As Strong And Fit As I Used To Be, Older Female, I very much appreciated! There are other jobs that I’d been wondering how I was going to manage on my own, but I’ll be fine now!

Good standard saw getting a lot of use nothing else to add

This saw cuts extremely well enabling me to cut clean and straight. It is holding its sharpness well and looks like it will last a long time.
