The blank plate box was just what I needed for an electrical project and was competitively priced.
I needed a 2-gang metal back box. This was cheap enough and came with a metal blanking plate (a bonus). Provided exactly what I needed.

Although designed as a junction box, this is a smart, painted metallic silver box, that was the cheapest option for a electronics project.

I got this to make up an audio plate with one XLR and 3 1/4 inch jack inputs. It would have been better if the metal box was a bit deeper but I mananged. It's a study little box and great value.
This particular box although utilitarian in nature is not rough and ready but is neet and pleasing on the eye. Can be installed in plane view and would and is acceptable as it is aesthetically pleasing on the eye. Not like some other manufacturers boxes which are rough and ready. The screw on cover is well finished and light gray colour. Try one you will not be disappointed and the icing on the cake is it is a very good price.
Good quality 2G box and cover for making junctions where you need protection from impact but waterproofing is not an issue. The knockouts can be removed with ease compared to some other brands where you end up bending the box to get them out.
Cheap and cheerful, they do the job and look good. The paint doesn't look very thick, and the earth connector spins around if you over tighten the screw; not a deal breaker. I will buy again.
