Great quality sockets with the added USB bonus. Low and higher-rated USB sockets add a bit of choice and it's great to keep phone and speaker charged during a long day at the bench.
Seem good quality and good price. Fitted to 35mm back box so no issues
The only thing is you will usually need a deeper metal box, as the socket is low profile a bit more sticks out the back.

Came in a box! Easy to wire and it works. They want more words so here they are.
Does not fit standard 25 mm back box if cables enter from bottom. Couldn't even get past rubber grommets to knock outs! Very disappointed.

A bit tight to fit in a standard socket box, flush fit
I upgraded one of our double 13 Amp sockets with a Tool station socket which additionally had two USB outlets with a total of 3.1 amps USB 5 volt output current (15.5 watts). This socket became the most popular in the house!!! Both USB sockets were constantly charging something or another.
There was another double 13 Amp socket just below the first one, so I upgraded this as well.
These sockets make a lot of sense. Half the 13 amp sockets in my home seem to have a phone/tablet/MP3/Mega Techie thingy charger plugged into it.
Most airline seats now have a USB socket for you to plug your gizmo into. So why not your home?
These USB socket remove the need for a charger and release the use of the 13 Amp mains sockets for other use. To me this makes loads of sense. They are dead easy to install if you have basic electrical experience.
1. Turn off the power before you start,
2. Connect the Brown wires to L (Live)
3. Connect the Blue wires to N (Neutral)
4. Connect the Green/Yellow wires to E (Earth/Ground). This is the most important, double check.
5 Check for any loose wires and double check that you have made the correct connections.
6. Turn the power on again.
If the above instructions do not make sense, then do not risk it. Get a 'Grown Up' or 'Qualified Electrician' to swap the socket over. It should be less than a 10 minute job.
If you buy this type of socket, double check that it is a least 3.1 Amps output. There are loads of nasty cheapo 2.1 Amp versions about that will take 50% longer to charge up your gizmo.

Have fit several different makes of usb sockets like this and had no issues, just tried this one and it’s too deep to fit in a standard back box wired from below, stands about 5mm proud of the wall at the bottom as it flexes due to the wire in would probably work if from the side or above. Will have to go with another make which is a shame as will mismatch the rest of the room.
