Flame picture is great for soldering, found using it with propane, blue bottle gas works best.

Great gun, replacement for my lost Rothenberger, not quite as good as that was in terms of flame consistency but better than the other torches for the same price. I like the safety lock on trigger and especially the adjustable flame.
