Never really had a chance to use this 12v/with transformer as when I opened the box it had that yellow tint like white plastic gets when old(or someone smoking). it was going on white tiles so had to take it back. tried a differant make, Monrose, and that too had a yellow tint. Ended up getting a Xpelair that was acutlly white! Thank you. At last a white fan that was really white.

I wanted a simple straight forward extractor for the bathroom, and that’s exactly what I got. No bells and whistles just a simple unit we can turn on and off independently from the isolator switch. Even though it’s a cheap unit it clears any steam much quicker than the previous model. It’s quiet in use and has a handy non return cover to stop drafts. Great value for money
The fan and transformer work but beware of these problems. The transformer itself is in the surface box which leaves very little working room for mount holes and wire entry. If the guts was attached to the box cover it would be much easier to install the box. Also there is very few hole cutouts in the surface box for screws making it tricky. Note that the wiring to the fan (12v) is labelled 1 and 2. No identification to which one is live (it’s number 1 by the surface box wall is live).
Direct replacement for existing Newlec fan that had stopped working. Wiring and screw positions were identical so an easy job to fit. Only realised once fitted that the old fan hadn't been operating well for a while. New fan is much better and keeps condensation in the bathroom to a minimum.
Easy to fit and silent! Excellent product. Not as powerful as a normal fan but I have no choice.
Purchased this fan to replace an existing Manrose fan. It states that the fan is suitable for ceiling or wall mounting however the pullcord is on the fan which makes it unsuitable for ceiling mounting.

Good value and quiet. Could be further improved with more installation instructions and functionality. I’e pull cord info, does it override sensor, does it stop after humidity level reached? Need for pipe fittings if fitting to vertical feed, ie it needs a 15mm 90degree compression fitting. Mains 240v connection not marked.
Perfect replacement for the old fan and transformer that burnt out. It’s good that both components are identical in size, also despite being updated, improved and a different brand all screw holes, knockouts and terminals line up perfectly and made the swap over easy.

Much quieter than my previous extractor fan. Doesn't stay on as long after the light is switch off, so saving energy. Overall a good fan.
