I needed a inline extractor fan for our new utillty will be. This is ideal. I fitted it on its side where the roof beams are as we have a new warm flat roof. It can be fitted like that and it works great. The fan is very quiet. I would definitely recommend it if thats what your looking for, you wont be disappointed just cheak you have clearance where it will go. There bulky but so much better than those small bathroom fans. Hope that helps guys.
I fitted another brand of this fan purchased from the main rival of Toolstation in January 2022. That gave up the ghost in January 2026, probably due to the large build-up of dust. Looking at the picture of this fan it appeared identical, so I purchased it from Toolstation because it was considerably less expensive than the other brand (~38%). Comparing the two side by side confirmed that they are almost certainly made in the same factory, the only visible difference being the name on the sticker!
As mentioned at the start of this review, I believe the first fan failed because it got clogged up with dust. Whether the life could be extended by annual cleaning I do not know, but as I have provide access to the loft each autumn for the hot water tank service, I'll spend 10-15 minutes cleaning out this fan, hopefully prolonging its life.
The fan is powerful, not too noisy and does its job well. A feature that would be useful is a version with auto-off after an hour or so, reset by cycling the power. I'm planning to add that to my installation to avoid the occasional times the fan is left running a large chunk of the day because we've rushed out the house in the morning and forgot to switch it off.
My old inline fan had failed, looked into various options and this came top for the price and extraction rate. It’s been installed about 2 weeks now and it’s great. Much better than the previous fan. Great extraction rate and quiet.
Easy to install and does a fantastic job. It's no louder than my old extractor but is much more effective at keeping my bathroom steam free.
Excellent air vent fan when working, very quiet, however hit and miss on longevity make sure you use a timer as thermal cutout packs in after a couple of years usage. 3 fans in use one replaced after 2 years one replaced after 4 years and other one still going strong 6 years later.
Fan. Very good as my customer told me. Will purchase again
Good quality and price. Easy to fit with good instructions. Powerful fan and not too noisy.
The online system works well. The server was cheerful and efficient. Best of all a great product.
Purchased this to replace a failing extractor. The unit is connected to a WiFi switch which is connected to a WiFi humidity sensor (Tuya), its set up on a Tuya automated trigger to turn on when humidity rises and turn off when its back to normal levels, it works brilliantly, the fan is powerful enough to keep the humidity level at an acceptable level. The unit seems well made and runs quietly. The whole setup cost less than £90, Would recommend
Bought this to replace our faulty bathroom fan. It was easy to wire up and works well. The previous fan was smaller and mounted on a single joist, but this fan needs a larger mounting. That said it is quieter and shifts more air.
Fantastic fan low noise realy easy to in install, will be using on next job next week
Been a few weeks since fitting and have found this extractor clears the bathroom of all moisture/smells really well. I have a bathroom 6 feet by 11 feet and on a medium setting my bathroom is clear of steam even after 2 long showers. There is a version with an over-run which in hindsight I should have got but that is an extra £40 as this version just goes on and off with the light switch. Sound- You can hear the motor but its not all that loud but you are getting a more powerful motor than a normal ceiling extractor. Overall I think that it is well worth the money for a clearer bathroom, as the normal ceiling extractors never really cleared the room
Instructions and installation was very easy for a DIYer. Fan is very quiet in operation. I would recommend.
Purchased this inline fan to replace an older not so efficeint unit. Fitting was straight forward, situated in the attic. Cut an MDF platform across two joists mounted on 20mm closed gromets to reduce noise. No issues all done
Inline extractor fan replaced old broken one. Easy fix
Seems efficient and does the job well. 😊👍🏼No issues with it at all.
Good sturdy fan, very noisy on full speed.
Settled for the lowest setting.
Have fitted a few of these. Powerful extraction. Easy to fit. Reasonably priced.
Seems quite powerfully and does the paper test quite well.
This works well and is easy to install. Ordered it, collected 15 minutes later and fitted in 20 minutes
