Forum Lighting Solutions expands its commercial range, bringing the BHS decorative lighting brand directly to UK electrical trade counters.
Forum Lighting Solutions is rolling out the BHS decorative lighting brand across the UK electrical wholesale network. The agreement brings the well-known interior lighting brand directly to trade counters, expanding the options available to contractors sourcing domestic and decorative fittings.
Led by Sales & Marketing Manager Steve Kaye, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between trade-grade electrical supplies and consumer interior design. By placing the BHS decorative lighting catalogue alongside standard commercial and residential fittings, Forum Lighting Solutions is positioning decorative trade supplies as a mainstream wholesale category.
What does this mean for a UK tradesperson or DIYer actually buying this kit — does it change what they should pay, buy, or watch out for?
For domestic electricians and property renovators, this move simplifies sourcing for high-end residential jobs. Instead of directing clients to retail outlets or ordering through separate consumer channels, sparkies can now source decorative interior fittings directly through their existing trade accounts at wholesale counters. This offers potential margin improvements and trade pricing on decorative items that previously required retail markups. However, installers should verify the specific fixing requirements, IP ratings, and driver space on these decorative units compared to standard trade-focused downlights or batten fittings, ensuring they meet job specifications before committing on site.
The addition of a recognized consumer decorative brand to the electrical wholesale channel reflects a growing demand for stylish, turnkey lighting solutions in domestic refits. Contractors now have immediate access to a broader catalogue of interior design products under their established trade terms.
