Panasonic EY74A2X 14.4v & 18V Brushless Drill Driver - Body

This Brushless Drill Driver offers a compact body at just 178mm with a lighter, yet more powerful motor compared to the brushed equivalent.
Having a brushless motor means that none of the energy generated by the battery is wasted on friction and heat from carbon brushes.
Instead all that energy goes into the job you're doing which means that its more efficiant, concentrated and runtimes are increased.

The EY74A2X features Panasonics IP (Intelligent Powertool) which is a communication tool between the tool and battery which ensures that neither will be damaged in the case of overheating or over discharge.

It can and will accept both 14.4v and 18v batteries and in terms of capacities it's a general purpose tool offering up around 60Nm of torque, with a bit capacity of 36mm into wood and 13mm into metal.

The new 'Speed Control' system lets the user define the speed settings to ensure that you get the best possible finish to your drilling.
You can change the settings depending on what style of bit or what material your using.
This way if you use a holesaw into plaster you'll still get a nice clean finish.

The Chuck has also been redeveloped and the new 'hard chuck' jaw tips give the drill more bite strength and therefore more grip but less wear on your bits.

The carbon fibre finish to this range makes the EY74A2X one of the best looking drills on the market.
